– Matric certificate
– Qualifications in Welding or Mechanical Engineering

2. Millwright (PE)
Open position : Millwright
Area : Port Elizabeth
Salary : Market related
An exciting opportunity exists for a Millwright, within the Packaging Industry that will be reporting to the Plant Engineer :
-Conduct problem solving techniques such as Operator Quick Fix, 5-Why, System Analysis to Engineering failures and applies specified procedure to fix
-Use precision tools and instruments to test for wear and machine specification
-Provide generalist support to shift based teams during operations
-Interprets data logs through codes from machinery
-Provide coaching, mentoring and knowledge transfer of mechanical understanding to shift based teams
-Repairs and replaces warn machine parts
-Lifting and moving of heavy machine parts
-Read blueprints, diagrams and schematic drawings to determine work procedures
Candidate Requirements
-N6 or Equivalent plus Trade Test
-Demonstrate problem solving skills
-Detail oriented
-Be observant
-Adhere to safe working procedures
-Understand Technical Drawings
-Familiar with Engineering standards
-Able to work shifts, overtime (including week ends when required)
-Valid driver’s licence and own reliable transport
3. Shift Fitter (PE)
Open position : Shift Fitter
Area : Port Elizabeth
Salary : Market related
A concern within the Packaging Industry is seeking a Shift Fitter to join their team :
-Carrying out repairs to plant and equipment on shift with reference to assigned job cards
-Fabricate and modify certain items such as machine guarding by attending to assigned job cards
-Ensure that issues are correctly requisitioned by active and accurate completion of stores requisition
-Diagnose Corrugator and Conversion Equipment cause of failure and systems
-Diagnose problems on all equipment throughout the plant and assist maintenance team to implement procedures to eliminate repetitive delays
-Perform Mechanical Inspection generated by Pragma
Candidate Requirements :
Matric certificate.
-N4 in Mechanical Engineering
-NTC 4 trade test certificate
-Competent in Basic Hydraulics, Pneumatics, PLCs and AC Drives
-Understanding of Pragma system
-Excellent fault finding skills
-Able to work shifts and overtime (including week ends when required)
-Have knowledge of installation rules
-Understand and adhere to Health and Safety standards
-Understand good housekeeping standards
